HeliPlug: ASP Plugboard Script

HeliPlug version 1.2

HeliPlug is a lightweight plugboard script written in ASP.

Visitors to your site add links to a plugboard or button wall. As a new link is added, the oldest link is pushed off the board. You can control the size of the board and the size of the buttons that are posted.

Rules:

• Buttons should be 88 by 31 pixels in size.
• Don't post the same link multiple times. Spamming may result in banning.

Plugboard features

• Front end compatible with XHTML Strict.
• Customisable size and number of buttons.
• Password-protected editing of the data file.
• Input validation: HTML is stripped from user input; URLs are corrected if they lack the 'http://' prefix; URLs containing common spam keywords are bounced.
• Option to create a list of banned domain addresses.

Requirements

• Support for ASP 3.0 on your server.
• Access to the files on the server via FileSystemObject. This is a standard function of ASP but is disabled by some free hosting services. If you're using a free ASP host, please check its FAQ.
