Preface
This is a fanlisting for British poet, novelist, critic and translator Richard Aldington (1892-1962). A fanlisting is a gathering of Internet users from all over the world who share enthusiasm for a subject. All admirers of Aldington are invited to add their names.
Aldington is best remembered as one of the founders of Imagism, or perhaps on account of his bestselling WW1 novel Death of a Hero, or perhaps even for scandalising the British establishment with his debunking biography of Lawrence of Arabia. He was also a vibrant and humorous personality, a prodigiously well-read scholar, an indefatigable traveller and an ardent romantic.
